Of course, the wash houses have, for many of them, disappeared or like those of Crécy they stopped fulfilling their office in the 1960s. A date not so far away because if the washing machine was invented in the 1920s, it will appear in households only around 1950 to the delight of women.
Not because they were assigned to wash clothes but because the washhouses were mainly frequented by washerwomen.

Below, the wash house located at the entrance of the walks, facing the Belfry, which thanks to the cleaning and decoration carried out by the members of the association seems to be still used. The hardest part was to find good sized wooden clothespins so that the laundry does not fly away. 

 In our period of all plastic, it is sometimes small utensils that cannot be found or difficult to find from the old days that plunge us back into the nostalgia of the past where wood was often the raw material of many everyday objects.
